All the passers-by rushing back home
Under their umbrellas thinking about
The sweet warmth of their home
With plenty of presents in their arms
Christmas will soon be there
But no one noticed the silhouette
Among the passers-by
Walking slowly, with nothing to protect
From the rain. The only one with no
Shopping bags...
Who would she give presents to?
Why would she hurry?
Nothing or no one waiting for her anywhere...
With all the rain streaming down her face
No one can see her tears
No one sees her anyway...
She has only been seen by two
The man who did all the scars she has
It was not his fault, he was drunk
And she was a little girl, always wrong...
Then he died and she was left an orphan.
And she met the second.
She became his best friend, always there for him
She fell in love with him. But too shy to tell him
And today she saw what she shouldn't have.
She saw him kissing another girl
Today, she received a hammer on her heart.
She thought he couldn't hurt her
She started to run as fast as she could
And... she did not see what she should have
The car coming down the street...
Him pushing away the girl
Him telling the girl he loved his best friend...
She would have been loved
She could have been happy for the first time
But she left when finally light was around the corner
He could not live without her
He felt guity for not protecting her...
And he left a few weeks after her...
